The most extreme thing I have ever done is when I was young I often would catch bee's in a jam jar. After keeping them in there a while I would let them out and pick them up and pet them. Petting actual bee's!! Isn't that a sign of sociopathology or something? They never stung me though. Perhaps they thought I was their master. Damn it, I never tried to command them. Opportunity lost
