  • Remove the words "you should have" from your vocabulary, those words just make the other person feel bad.
  • Why would you get married and ruin your relationship?

Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell, I'm just saying.
  • David
No more shoving Mario off of Volvos.
  • Gina
Congratulations Amanda & Mario. You are a fun couple and many happy years together. My advice after 18 years of marriage is treat each other like Best Friends and your love witll grow.
  • Rob
    Congrats!
  • Nicholas
Congratulations!!! My only advice is for Mario....whatever you do, just agree (note: you may already be following this)
  • Joe
Congratulations on the wedding.. and the music should never die with the artist.
  • Andrea
    I still cannot believe he's gone :(
  • Caroline
Have a brilliant wedding Amanda! I will also be back on the east coast this weekend (though probably in a much more relaxed schedule than yours)

My wife and I have only been married 35 years. When we gain sufficient experience, perhaps by our Golden Anniversary, we'll send you, two, some ideas as to what works and doesn't work.

    :-)

Give each other the benefit of the doubt, always.

Always move as quickly as you can from "Oh no!" to "Oh, well...."

    Take turns washing the dishes.

At least once a year, do something totally unplanned and off-the-wall together.

Never never never separate your passion from your work (man, have I learned that one).

Never take out the frustrations you pick up elsewhere on your spouse.

Don't expect to know where you'll be or what you'll be like in 10 years.

Be on the lookout for the sweetest things in life, which will sneak up on you, like drifting to sleep in your lover's arms and wondering, as you drift, if it's still raining.

Life is too short to drink cheap tequila.

    Woo-hoo! Many happy returns.
  • Amanda and Mario,
First off, what a GREAT weekend to get married! Stacie and I are celebrating 5 years of marriage this Friday (the 26th). I want to wish you guys all the best in this new chapter of your lives. As for advice? Wow...always keep your lines of communication open. Eat breakfast in bed together at least once a week (we have stockpiled a number of very tasty recipes if you're interested). Savor the journey. Travel together...road trips are the best! Serve those less fortunate together... that is something that can really bring you guys together in ways you can't imagine.
I am so excited for you guys. Have an amazing day!

    Cheers,
    Ralph (@level3media)
  • Wow, there were a lot of cool advice cards, what can be said really apart from all that, just keep being yourselves and you should be fine, with marriage comes compromise but that doesn't mean you can't still be you own true self. Keep doing what you do and I wish only the best for you. Congratulations guys, I'm sure your married life will be awesome !
