the thing that kills me is they always say they are upgrading their cell towers so you will get better 3G sooooooon…..

I tell you, even at AT&T Park in San Francisco during a Giants game… 3G only works in certain parts of THEIR OWN NAMED BALLPARK !!!!!

I do love Apple quality so if only AT&T quality were as good as Apple. The thing to really make you mad is all the things you want the phone to do and it doesn't is because the wireless provider, I refuse to say their name again, restricts it. As soon as Verizon comes I will switch from my current iPhone plan to theirs…… will you Amanda ?

In similar vein as #5 of “shouldn't”: It was odd to overhear a guy talk about money and job problems, then later mention how he couldn't wait to order the 3gs. Yeah, okay then… *boggle*

1. it's spotlight, not searchlight.
2. the 3.0 software will deliver cut, copy, and paste and spotlight to all iPhones. as well as find my iphone to the 3g.

Going to pass on this one. First of all, AT&T won't allow the advertised price for the 3G early adopters (as they are still in the middle of a 2-yr contract). Second of all, I have had it with AT&T coverage and service in SoCal. I'll wait for Apple to make a deal with Verizon. In the meantime, a 3G running 3.0 will be just fine…

I'll probably get it because of video. Truth be told, there is no reason why the old 3G and 2 gen iPhones should not be software upgradable to capture video. Current jailbroke iPhones record video and apps have been written for 3G and 2G phones to record video. The camera hardware is better on the new iPhone3GS and I look forward to using it as an enhanced tool for sharing digital images. I hate AT&T's hold over iPhone users and especially the contempt they show for us.
