We went to one of them once, and the only thing we liked was a magic show performed by an obese fellow whose tights left nothing — nothing! — to the imagination. It was strangely compelling.

The shows at the Ren Fairs I go to in Minnesota are always well attended. Some of the storytellers, jugglers, acrobats, etc. are just mesmerizing.
