I agree that healthcare reform is an important topic and we have plans for an episode on it, yes. I do however think discussing race relations in this country is important as well.

My question is why is the president getting involved with something so trivial? Why does he have a reporter ask the question on a prime time news conference? The president is playing on race fears and I think it's pathetic.

I'm with you, Amanda. As Obama said, the police “acted stupidly.” The cop could just as easily have defused the situation instead of escalating it. Imagine the outcry if this had been a distinguished white professor being arrested IN HIS HOME by a black police officer.

I don't agree with you on this one, Amanda, but do appreciate the link to the President's comments today. Crowley, Gates and Obama having a beer in the White House is an absolutely brilliant solution. Obama may be trying to kill us hard-working Americans with his health care agenda, but he's one hell of a politician. No doubt there.

It's definitely ingrained racism on the part of the police officers which have been getting ridiculously dangerous in the USA lately, it's like they have been brainwashed to poke at society's weak points in order to break apart or at least incite civil unrest… no really, you hear stuff like a police officer arresting a burger worker for too much salt and arresting someone for entering his own house I mean, do they even remember what it says on their badges of honor: “to protect and to serve”, sounds like it no longer applies, police officers need re education ASAP.
