“Free” healthcare isn't free. It costs the taxpayers.
Plus, name one government run program that is efficient?
Plus, who will may for medical research?

This is a complicated issue.
I agree that change is needed – but let's take the time to do it right.
The way it's handled in Canada, the UK, etc – isn't ideal.

free, free????? I don't think so. Hate to say it, but people at times are not too bright. It will never be free. Let's be careful what we're throwing away…that guy had it right…people come here from all over the world because of the quality of our health care. let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. it's irresponsible to rush this, as obama is doing. and for sure everyone should pay something. nothing is actually free, and no one should have to pay nothing.

Hey no offense, but were these interviews skewed? Seriously, I find more people concerned about the current discussions in Washington. Not many completely agreeing with the president but do wish to see some degree of healthcare reform. Unlike many of the people you interviewed, the folks I'm hearing from have insurance and are at least 'ok' with existing medical coverage. They also seem to agree that health insurance should be available to all citizens.
