Love this! Brought me back to my own wedding and how it consumed my life. And I still haven't forgiven those people who didn't RSVP

I am not married but am planning to very soon and I share some of your points, specially the part about knowing who you count on, it's very important for me to know, having done almost everything by myself it would be a grand thing to see who is there for me when I reach my limits. Very good video.

A week before we got married, my honey and I were approached in the street in Juarez by a guy with a Polaroid camera slung around his neck. He could get us married within the hour for 25 bucks, he said, "35 with music." At that point we had been planning our guts out for months, and I was ready to take him up on it. My life-partner was not amused by my enthusiasm.

I had not really realized that I would start wearing a ring every day for the rest of my life. We chose silver bands decorated with amethyst and turquiose, avoiding gold and diamonds which were both being mined largely by slaves at the time. Over the years about half the turquoise has fallen out of mine. I always wonder where each little piece dropped off....

Lindy hop and logistics, with the latter becoming a consistent theme in unexpected things I gained from my marriage to unexpected things I gained from being a parent.

It's a prayer, not a poem. Kinda makes a difference in context, esp if you're spiritual. Probably notsomuch if you're not.
